In their home opener, in front of a packed stadium, the Bulldogs overpowered the Littleton Lions on both sides of the ball to a decisive victory.
The Bulldog defense proved very stingy giving up only 58 total yards of offense and keeping the Lions out of the end-zone all night. Top defensive players were Joe Jackson with 9.5 tackles and Devin Martin with 9 tackles The Lions gave a scare at the end of the first half of play with a drive down inside the 10 yard line. An interception by Scott Russell stopped the drive with 11 seconds to go before half and ended any chance of keeping things close.
The Bulldog offense showed a variety of impressive weapons and a strong offensive line, keeping the Lions defense off balance all night. A strong rushing attack was headed up by Chase Weaver (2 rushing TD, 1 rec TD and a total of 102 yards) and Dominique Mathews(1 rushing TD and 95 yards). Quarterback Micheal Tabor had a good night with 1 rushing and 1 passing TD and adding 45 rush yards of his own.

Join us this Friday 9/3 for the Bulldog opener against Littleton.
The Bulldogs take on the Lions on our home turf with a tough, stingy defense and an explosive offense packed with weapons.
Afterwards all fans are invited to join players and parents for the after game aprty at the Copper Rail bar and Grille(formerly Mojos).
Help the Bulldogs start the season with a full house and cheer them on to Victory

August 21st marks the official start of the 2010 Bulldog Football season.
Starting at 8:00am will be the inter squad scrimmage at the Brighton High School field. Immediately after the players will team up to sell any remaining Bulldog cards.
This will also be the annual Booster Club field clean up day. The Football Boosters voted to take on the project that was started last year and paint all the remaining garbage can around the school campus Bulldog red and white.We would love to have as many volunteers as possible to make this a fun and successful event. Just stick around afer the scrimmage or stop by any time mid morning on the 21st.
Starting at 2:00pm the Booster Club will be hosting the annual kick off BBQ at the Dawg Diner. This is a great chance to reconnect with other football parents and get in football mood for the fast approaching season. Coaches and booster club members will all be on hand to answer questions . All players eat for FREE! Adults eat for just $3.00 and kids under 12 are only $1.00. Everyone is welcome so bring the whole family

The Football Banquet and awards night was a huge success this year. There were so many great awards and achievements it is difficult to list them all here. Great job to everyone including our top award winners, academic winners and Varsity letter recipients!
It was a great chance to honor our players for all the hard work and long hours they dedicated to the 2009 Season. Congratulations to every player and coach for a great year!
We will miss our departing seniors as they move on to other challenges and triumphs in the coming months and years. Best of luck in every opportunity waiting before you.
